BMW lidar maker Innoviz graduates to Tier 1, co-founder says

Innoviz, the Israeli start-up that supplies lidar for BMW’s 7 Series with a Level 3 hands-free self-driving option, has graduated from being a Tier 2 supplier to pitching automakers directly, as demand grows for its main product, the company’s co-founder and chief R&D officer said.
