Alpine goes its own way with EV platform

The Alpine E-Ternite, a technical exercise from 2022, gave the A110 a full-electric drivetrain using Renault Group components. Executives said it proved that the current platform could be adapted to electrification.

ENSTONE, England -- The centerpiece of Alpine’s future sports car strategy is its own APP platform, a bonded-aluminum chassis that can accept a variety of battery and electric motor configurations -- as well as an internal combustion engine.
