Ford, Audi, Daimler reduce German output on chip supply shortages

Ford Focus production in Sarlouis — Ford will idle its plant in Saarlouis, Germany, for a month starting next week because of semiconductor shortages.

Ford Motor, Daimler and Audi are among automakers joining Volkswagen in reducing production at factories in Germany due to a global shortage of microchips.
