While some legacy automakers have moved quickly to transition to electric vehicles from internal-combustion powertrains, Toyota has been more cautious, with just one full-electric car in its European lineup, the bZ4X SUV. Instead, it has focused on full hybrids, and increasingly plug-in hybrids. The second-generation C-HR, which started production this month in Turkey, will be the third plug-in model after the Prius and RAV4.
