VW will design chips for autonomous vehicles

VW says the full-electric ID Buzz will be its first vehicle that can drive autonomously.

HAMBURG -- Volkswagen Group plans to design and develop its own high-powered chips for autonomous vehicles, along with the required software, CEO Herbert Diess told a German newspaper.
