PARIS -- Renault Group has named Gianluca De Ficchy, currently head of purchasing, as CEO of the Mobilize.
De Ficchy replaces Clotilde Delbos, who left the automaker at the end of 2022, as head of the automaker's mobility services division.
Mobilize also includes banking and finance activities (Mobilize Financial Services) in addition to services such as car-sharing and EV charging (Mobilize Beyond Automotive).
De Ficchy is currently Alliance executive vice president purchasing and managing director of the Alliance Purchasing Organization. Francois Provost will assume Renault Group and Alliance purchasing responsibilities, the automaker said.
In a statement Tuesday, Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo said De Ficchy’s experience in banking would be a key asset at Mobilize, which has a target of generating 20 percent of overall group revenue by 2030.
De Ficchy holds a degree in economics from LUISS University in Rome and the senior executive program at Stanford University.
He joined Renault Group in 2001 at RCI Bank in Italy. He moved to FGA Capital (today FCA Bank), a joint venture of Fiat and Credit Agricole, in 2007, and was named chairman and CEO in 2013.
In 2014 De Ficchy moved back to Renault as CEO of RCI Bank and Services. He joined Nissan in 2018 as senior vice president and chairman of the management committee for Europe.
In 2020 he was named chairman of Nissan’s operations in Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe (including Russia) and Oceania. He was named to his current post in April 2021.
De Ficchy was named a 2022 Automotive News Europe Eurostar in the purchasing executive category.
Mobilize's banking activities will be directed by Joao Miguel Leandro, and its mobility services by Fedra Ribeiro.
