Semiconductor company STMicroelectronics is leveraging the growing role of electronics in the car. Last year the supplier increased its automotive revenue 16 percent to $3.6 billion (3.2 billion euros) on a group total of $9.7 billion. Marco Monti, who is president of automotive at STMicroelectronics, shared how the company plans to benefit from the move toward electrified and autonomous cars. He spoke with Automotive News Europe Correspondent Andrea Malan.
